To ensure a smooth departure, the time for farewells and unloading luggage from the car will now be limited to eight minutes. Cars passing through the drop-off area will be identified by their license plates both upon entry and again upon exit, and the accumulated fee will be automatically determined based on the time of recognition.
- If the visit time in the drop-off area is less than eight minutes, driving through the area will not require any action from the driver.
- If the stopping time exceeds the eight-minute limit, a fee of five euros will be charged for every starting five-minute period (€5/5 min).
The accumulated amount will be displayed on the exit screen when leaving the area. The payment for the extra time must be made on Finavia's website within 48 hours.
In early January, the system will be tested, and the area will become chargeable only after this testing period.
The drop-off area for passengers is located in front of the main doors of the terminals, at the departure hall level, which you can reach by following the signs for "Departures."
Do you need more time to accompany the passenger?
If you want to accompany the passenger inside the terminal or have a coffee, you can drive through the area directly to parking hall P1 or P2 or the short-term parking area, which is located immediately adjacent to the terminal at the arrival hall level. The airport's parking policies for passengers with reduced mobility also apply to the drop-off area, where a LE permit entitles you to four hours of free parking in the area.
