Many dog owners and pet owners in general want a peaceful place away from the noise of fireworks to spend the New Year. Airport hotels including Clarion Hotel Aviapolis, Clarion Hotel Helsinki Airport, Hilton Hotel, Scandic Helsinki Airport and Pilot Hotel Airport offer pet rooms.
Some of the hotels offer tailored accommodation packages for pet owners, which include meals and pampering for both owner and pet. Near the airport, there is also a Tassumafia dog daycare and hotel, which is open round the clock.
The Helsinki Airport area is a peaceful place to spend New Year's Eve, as fireworks are not let off at or near the airport.

Helsinki Airport is open round the clock on New Year's Eve. Air passengers as well as people and pets staying in nearby hotels are welcome in the arrivals hall.
The services in the arrivals hall include Alepa 24 h, Food Hall, Normal, a pharmacy and other shops and restaurants. Meals can be ordered from many of the restaurants to nearby hotels with Wolt, for example.
For pets, there is an outdoor pet relief area in front of the terminal.
