The Helsinki Region Environmental Services (HSY) will start renovating the water supply and sewerage system in the Veromies and Airport districts of Vantaa in November 2024. The project, which will take about a year and a half, will be carried out in stages. Some of the project stages will cause temporary traffic arrangements around the airport.

According to HSY, the project includes work to increase the capacity of the water supply and sewerage system to support further construction in the Aviapolis area. The existing water supply and sewerage system in the area will be renovated at the same time.

Due to the project, temporary traffic arrangements will be used in the area. HSY will provide more detailed information about these arrangements before they are introduced. In addition, the work will create noise that may also be heard at the airport.

We ask passengers to take into account the temporary traffic arrangements and to leave enough time for getting to the airport, as detours and temporary stops in traffic mean that it may take longer to get to the airport.
