A large number of passengers departing for their autumn holidays will be passing through Helsinki Airport during weeks 42 and 43. There are many departing and arriving passengers during the autumn holiday weeks. Especially on Friday, October 27th, many departing passengers are expected in the terminal.
Please make sure to leave enough time for the things you need to do at the airport, such as check-in and security control. If you are travelling to a destination outside the Schengen Area, you will need to go through passport control to get to your departure gate.
Tips for a smooth journey
- Book parking at Helsinki Airport in advance to get the best price and parking space in the parking area of your choice. Helsinki Airport has four parking halls in front of the terminal and an outdoor parking area.
- Subscribe to the free MyFlight service to get information about services near your departure gate. A new food court and many new shops have opened at Helsinki Airport.
