“Our goal is that the airport offers first-class service during the visit and helps promote a positive image of Finland. Arrangements at and around the airport are organised in cooperation with several parties. There will be special arrangements to ensure that the delegations’ wishes for the airport are met and, at the same time, that other air traffic can continue operating normally,” says Samuli Juntunen, Head of Security at Finavia, Helsinki Airport.
Cooperation with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the police and other authorities has started and planning is progressing well.

The Finnish Border Guard announced that internal border controls will be reinstated at Finland's external and internal borders on 8–15 July. Border control does not concern all passengers, but it is targeted according to the authorities’ assessments.
