Finnair will start direct scheduled flights between Rovaniemi Airport and Tromsø, Norway, in December 2023. The route will be flown twice a week during the 2023–2024 winter season.

This coming winter, passengers will be able to fly directly to Northern Norway from Rovaniemi Airport, as Finnair will launch a route to Tromsø on 2 December 2023. The route will be flown twice a week, on Thursdays and Saturdays, until 30 March 2024.

Finnair will operate the flights as triangular flights with the routes Helsinki–Rovaniemi–Tromsø and Tromsø–Rovaniemi–Helsinki. The route will be operated with Norra’s 68-seat ATR 72 aircraft.

You can book your flights through the Finnair website.

“The new connection between Lapland and Northern Norway is a great addition to the route offering of our airports. Rovaniemi Airport will have over 10 new route openings during the upcoming winter season, which will further strengthen the accessibility of the region,” says Petri Vuori, Finavia’s Senior Vice President responsible for route development.

Finnair’s destinations in Norway also include Bergen, Bodø, Oslo and Trondheim, to which the airline flies from Helsinki Airport several times a week.
