All cafés, restaurants, bars, and lounges at the Helsinki Airport adhere to the restaurant restrictions set by the government. The restrictions aim to restrain the spread of the Covid pandemic.
Serving at the restaurants and lounges ends according to the restaurant restrictions at 5:00 PM, and they close by 6:00 PM at the latest. According to the restrictions in effect, also bars must close by 6:00 PM.
You can check the opening hours for restaurants and services at the airport’s service website. Due to the restrictions, changes may occur also to the number of customer seats.
Snacks from the entrance hall and kiosks
After 6:00 PM, a WHSmith kiosk is open at the gate area (gate 29) that serves drinks and light snacks. Also, many restaurants such as Richie's Gourmet Hot Dogs, Café Tori, Nordic Kitchen and Upper Crust sell take away orders after 6:00 PM.
Alepa, Subway, and two R-Kiosks in the new entrance hall of Terminal 2 serve passengers and all airport visitors also at nights after 6:00 PM. Subway sells take away orders by showing the Covid pass.
If you’re bringing in your own snacks, please remember to check the rules for liquids. You may bring to the gate area through the security check packed sandwiches, burritos, hamburgers, and salads with the dressing already in. If the dressing is separate, pack it with the liquids.
We recommend you bring an empty water bottle with you if you’re travelling through Helsinki Airport late at night. There are several places at Helsinki Airport where you can fill your water bottle. You can also get hot water from the water dispensers at the non-Schengen area.
Prepare to show your Covid pass in the restaurants, cafés, lounges, and restaurants.
