Helsinki Airport faced IT-system issues earlier today that affected the luggage handling.
If you are departuring today, we advice you to:
- reserve more time at the airport, especially if you have luggage to be checked in.
- notice that the check-in machines work normally, but backage drop is congested. If possible, fly with carry-on luggage only.
- pack necessities to your carry on luggage as checked in luggage might be left behind from your flight
Update 14.00: The IT system issue affects also transfer passengers' luggage handling, we are sorry to inform that some luggagge will not the be making it onto the connecting flight today.
Update 15:00 luggage check in is now operational again, congestion still at departures hall.
