Arctic Bar, Gate 30
On a hot day, passengers are bound to enjoy the airport’s outdoor patio, which you can find at the Arctic Bar. The bar also offers a range of tasty cocktails and food as well as drinks of the non-alcoholic sort. Located on the second floor, Arctic Bar offers a tranquil atmosphere and nice views overlooking the terminal and the runways.
Oak Barrel, Gate 22
This Irish-style pub has been serving thirsty travelers at Helsinki Airport since 1987, offering a range of beers from ales to dark malts. On a hot summer day, you might want to try a Central European style beer mix: a radler (half pint of lager mixed with lemon soda) or a shandy (lager mixed with ginger ale). The Singaporean style is to mix beer with tonic water, making a kip lin.
While you’re at the Barrel, make sure to take a photo, as this bar is the airport’s most popular selfie spot.
60 Bar & Brewery, Gate 15
This brewery-style bar and restaurant offers around 20 different beers and boasts several award-winning bartenders on staff. The bar always keeps one special beer on tap, exclusively designed for 60 Bar. In the summer of 2016, the special beer is a cranberry-flavored pale ale.
You can also grab food to go with your drink, from small bar snacks to sandwiches and salads.
Wine & View, Gate 25
This cozy establishment was chosen as the world's best airport wine bar at the Airport FAB Awards in 2016. You can sip your bubbly while enjoying a nice view overlooking the runways. In the summer, you may want to turn your sparkling into a mimosa by adding some fresh orange juice, and pick some delicious “Taste of Helsinki Airport” snacks, or even a whole brunch to go with it.
