The growing popularity of lounge services is evident at Helsinki Airport. The "OP Lounge by Aspire," which has opened in the Schengen area, invites travelers to enjoy a peaceful moment and lounge services in the heart of the terminal.

"We are delighted to welcome the OP Lounge to Helsinki Airport! The growing popularity of lounge spaces and services among travelers is an international phenomenon, and we have invested in their development at Helsinki Airport as well. The OP Lounge is located in the most central part of the terminal, close to gates and services, and it is an excellent addition to the lounge offerings at Helsinki Airport.", enhancing the world-class passenger experience at our airport," says Ulla Serlenius, Finavia's SVP, Helsinki Airport.

The OP Lounge is the latest lounge from the international Aspire Executive Lounge brand, designed in collaboration with OP Financial Group.

"We are excited to collaborate with OP Financial Group to offer a new lounge experience for their customers and travelers at Helsinki Airport," says Dirk Goovaerts, CEO of Continental Europe, Middle East, Africa & India, and Global Cargo Chair of Swissport International.

The new OP Lounge is located in the post-security departure gate area, at gate 22. The lounge offers travelers a stylish resting place with 180 seats and stunning views directly onto the busy runways. There are also private meeting rooms available for business travelers. Both the design of the space and the food and beverage offerings reflect Finnish culture and flavors. The lounge offers warm breakfast and lunch made from locally sourced ingredients.

"At OP, we have invested significantly in the development of our card services in recent years. In particular, the travel insurance and lounge services included in the cards have been widely used and appreciated by our customers. OP wants to offer additional value and convenience to its cardholders when traveling. With our own lounge, we can positively impact the customer experience of OP's customers," says Masa Peura, Director of Everyday Banking Services at OP.

Access to the lounge is included with OP Gold and OP Platinum cards, and the lounge also serves frequent flyers of other contracted airlines and travelers who pay an entrance fee.

Lounge services at Helsinki Airport will continue to develop, as the existing Aspire Lounge at gate 27 will be renovated and reopened to travelers in spring 2025. Aspire Executive Lounges is one of the world's largest airport lounge brands and part of Swissport.
