For those business travellers who do not continue their journey from the airport to another destination in Finland, the new facilities offer an initial experience of Finnishness already at the airport," says Nora Immonen, Finavia's Director of Commercial Services for Helsinki Airport.
The new VIP & Meetings facilities are easily accessible and refreshing, suitable for both one-on-one meetings and larger events. The flexible meeting spaces can be divided into one, two, or three separate rooms with movable partition walls. All meeting rooms are equipped with remote meeting technology. In addition, guests have access to shower and sauna facilities.
"The needs of customers have been taken into account in the location and design of the new facilities. Our VIP and meeting guests appreciate the convenience – for example, you won't have to leave the airport to have a meeting with an international partner. The meeting rooms are available for all visitors at the airport," Immonen says.
The interior design of the VIP & Meetings facilities aims to bring stories about Finnishness, surprising details, and refreshing ideas. All furniture and surface materials represent Finnish brands, and the furniture includes classics from different periods as well as works by young designers.

In addition to meeting participants, the VIP & Meetings facilities also serve Finnish VIP customers and VIP customers visiting Finland who value privacy and personal service.
"The new elegant facilities offer a relaxing break from the busy atmosphere of the airport for guests who want a touch of luxury when travelling," Immonen says.
The VIP service, which is separately booked and paid, includes services that make travelling smoother, such as baggage collection and check-in, as well as catering.
