The Aviation Union (IAU) initiated a walkout on Monday, December 2, from 14.00 to 16.15. The walkout is now over, but the effects on flights will last the entire Monday evening. There may be minor effects also on Tuesday, as the airlines re-route passengers from the cancelled flights.

The staff shortage resulting from the walkout led to delays in baggage handling and aircraft preparations. Additionally, the walkout caused flight cancellations.

We ask passengers to follow the instructions provided by their airline regarding their flight and arrival at the airport. Now that the walkout has ended, airport operations will be re-started gradually. This may cause congestion at various service points.

For baggage-related issues, we ask passengers to contact the airline responsible for the transportation and delivery of the baggage.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused to passengers.

The walkout does not target Finavia.
