Norwegian is launching two completely new direct flight routes from Helsinki Airport to Europe for the summer season of 2025. The new destinations are Malta and Bucharest, the capital of Romania. These two destinations are entirely new for Norwegian, as the airline has not previously offered flights to these destinations.

Flights to Malta will start on June 4, 2025, and will continue until early August. Flights to Bucharest will start on June 3, 2025, and will continue until October 24.

“Malta and Bucharest are a great addition to Helsinki Airport’s route connections. The flights start just at the beginning of the summer holiday season, so the selection of holiday destinations for Finns to popular Southern Europe expands with two interesting and long-awaited destinations,” commented Petri Vuori, Finavia’s Senior Vice President responsible for route development.

At this stage, Norwegian has announced that it will offer routes to a total of 25 destinations in Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East from Finland in the summer of 2025.

Helsinki-Malta flights will be operated once a week, and Helsinki-Bucharest flights twice a week.

Before Norwegian’s new additions, the last direct route from Helsinki Airport to Malta was operated in the year 2019 and to Bucharest in 2022.

Flight schedules and tickets are available on the airline’s website.
