“The new route openings will boost the record growth in tourism in Lapland that we have already witnessed in previous winter seasons. Lufthansa will operate scheduled flights between Frankfurt and Rovaniemi twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, from 30 November 2024 to 29 March 2025.
Austrian will operate flights from Vienna to Kittilä and Ivalo airports once a week: flights to Kittilä on Sundays from 8 December 2024 to 16 March 2025 and flights to Ivalo on Saturdays from 25 January to 1 March 2025.
Austrian will also continue the Vienna-Rovaniemi route, which it started in December 2023, next winter. Flights to Rovaniemi will be operated once a week on Saturdays, with an additional 11 weekly flights on Wednesdays.
