The German airline Eurowings will start scheduled flights from Hamburg to Kittilä and Rovaniemi airports in January 2025. Eurowings currently offers eight routes from Germany to Finland for the next winter season.

Eurowings will fly both routes twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays. The route between Hamburg and Kittilä will be flown from 12 January to 26 March 2025, and the route between Hamburg and Rovaniemi from 15 January to 26 March 2025.

In addition to the new openings, Eurowings will fly six routes to Finland next winter: from Düsseldorf to Kajaani, Ivalo, Kittilä, Kuusamo and Rovaniemi, and from Berlin to Helsinki Airport.

Detailed flight schedules and tickets are available on the Eurowings website.

"Developing routes increase Lapland’s international appeal and are a testament to the good work we do together with our partners to improve Finland's accessibility. The Lufthansa Group, which also includes Eurowings, has already announced nine new routes from Europe to our airports in Lapland for next winter," says Petri Vuori, Finavia's SVP responsible for route development.

As for the other airlines in the Lufthansa Group, Lufthansa will open a route from Frankfurt to Rovaniemi, Edelweiss Air from Zürich to Kittilä and Rovaniemi, Austrian Airlines from Vienna to Kittilä and Ivalo and Discover Airlines from Frankfurt to Kittilä.
