The autumn holidays will be starting soon in the north, and there will be lots of departing holidaymakers at Oulu Airport from Thursday, 19 October, to Sunday, 22 October. We ask all passengers to come to the airport well before their flight.

At the end of the week, it is a good idea to leave more time than usual for airport parking, check-in, bag drop and security control.

Oulu Airport will be particularly busy on:

  • Thursday, 19 October, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.,
  • Saturday, 21 October, from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. and from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and
  • Sunday, 22 October, from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Prepare for your flight well in advance

If you’re travelling with checked baggage, we recommend leaving more time than usual for check-in and bag drop.

If you’re travelling with hand baggage, we recommend checking in beforehand on the airline’s website if possible. This will allow you to proceed directly to security control when you arrive at the airport.

When you are packing your bags, you can check Finavia’s packing instructions for information on what you can pack in your hand baggage and what you can put in checked baggage.

We have put together a checklist for passengers on our website with tips on how to prepare for your flight and what to consider before going to the airport.
