In April 2023, SAS resumed its flights from Vaasa Airport to Stockholm Arlanda Airport. The good news for the region continues, as next year the company will increase its weekly flights by six as of 24 April 2024.
From then on, the Vaasa–Stockholm route will be operated twice a day, with the exception of Wednesdays and Saturdays, when there will be one flight per day. Flights can be booked through the SAS website.
The route will continue to be flown mainly with the 90-seat CRJ-900 aircraft. On Saturday flights, the aircraft type used to transport passengers will be an ATR-72.
Besides Vaasa, SAS will have flights to Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen from Helsinki Airport. SAS also offers flights to Stockholm from Turku Airport.
