“The demand for electric cars is growing, and it’s great that the new charging station serves motorists in the immediate vicinity of the airport. This is the first high-power charging station at Helsinki Airport,” says Jukka Isomäki, Head of Parking and Landside Traffic at Helsinki Airport.
The charging station is open 24 hours a day and serves not only passengers but also, for example, taxis and the customers of car rental companies.
The total capacity of the charging station is 600 kilowatts, including eight charging points.

Helsinki Airport has significantly increased the number of charging points for electric cars in recent years.
“Right now, there are more than 350 charging points at the airport. For example, our parking halls P1 Premium and P2 offer excellent facilities for electric cars, as they have hundreds of charging points. The third floor of the P2 building is entirely reserved for electric cars,” Isomäki says.
In addition, charging points can be found in the P3 and P5 parking halls in front of the Helsinki Airport terminal.
