Air Baltic will launch direct scheduled flights from Tampere-Pirkkala Airport to Las Palmas, Canary Islands, in December 2023. During the winter season 2023–2024, the new route will be flown once a week on Tuesdays.

The international route offering of Tampere-Pirkkala Airport will further improve for the winter. The Latvian airline Air Baltic will launch a new route from Tampere to Las Palmas, Canary Islands, on 5 December.

The route will be flown once a week on Tuesdays with Airbus A220-300 aircraft. Joining Tenerife, Las Palmas is the second winter destination in the Canary Islands to which Air Baltic flies from Tampere-Pirkkala Airport.

Located on the island of Gran Canaria, Las Palmas is the largest city in the Canary Islands.

“We are very pleased with the development of Tampere-Pirkkala Airport’s route offering! The residents of the region can now enjoy even smoother connections from their home airport to destinations around the world,” says Petri Vuori, Finavia’s Senior Vice President responsible for route development.

A wide range of connections in both summer and winter

In addition to destinations in the Canary Islands, Air Baltic will also launch flights from Tampere-Pirkkala Airport to Kittilä as well as a daily connection to Tallinn in the winter. The airline operates year-round routes to Riga and Amsterdam.

This summer, Air Baltic operates direct flights from Tampere-Pirkkala Airport to a total of eight European destinations.

You can book your flights through the Air Baltic website. Tickets for the flights to Las Palmas will go on sale on 21 June.
