During the winter season, Ryanair will start flying to Rovaniemi from the Dublin, London Stansted and Brussels South Charleroi airports.

There will be two weekly flights between Rovaniemi and Dublin as well as between Rovaniemi and Brussels, and four weekly flights between Rovaniemi and London Stansted. The flights will start in late October/early November.

“We are very happy about Ryanair’s new flights to Rovaniemi Airport. The new scheduled flights offer passengers from these large cities a direct connection to Lapland and, at the same time, offer connections to Europe for passengers from Rovaniemi,” says Petri Vuori, Finavia’s Senior Vice President, Sales and Route Development.

In addition, Ryanair flies from Tampere Airport to London Stansted Airport twice a week, and operates up to 37 scheduled weekly flights from Helsinki Airport to several destinations in Europe.

Lapland has strong appeal as a winter destination. In 2021, Lapland airports had an excellent winter season, during which more charter flights were flown than in 2019, the year before the pandemic.
