“Eurowings’ new scheduled flights are a great opening! Flights from Germany to Rovaniemi serve the Lapland winter season and, at the same time, passengers departing from Rovaniemi will be connected to Eurowings’ extensive route network in Europe,” says Petri Vuori, Finavia’s Senior Vice President, Sales and Route Development.
On 3 December 2022, Eurowings will start operating flights between Düsseldorf, in Germany, and Rovaniemi. The flights to Rovaniemi Airport will be operated twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, until 25 March 2023.
Flights on the Hamburg–Rovaniemi route will be operated on Wednesdays from 4 January to 22 March 2023.
Finavia has invested EUR 60 million in the development of its Lapland airports in 2018–2020.
