The jury praised Helsinki Airport’s way of differentiating itself from its competitors by, for example, representing Finnish iconic brands such as Marimekko and Iittala around the airport. The honorable mention was given especially to the airport’s retail services.
- Receiving this honorable mention is a great achievement for us. This shows that our investments in developing the services and renewing the airport’s commercial service offer have really paid off. A big thanks goes to all Helsinki Airport personnel and partners involved in this work, says Elena Stenholm, Director of Commercial Services at Helsinki Airport, Finavia.
Finavia has renewed all commercial service points at Helsinki Airport. The airport has now 70 new or renewed shops, restaurants and cafes.
Finavia was among the top five nominees for the Airport Operator of the Year title. The first place went this year to London Heathrow.
