Finnair published new routes for the summer 2016. Here is the list of new destinations for flights from Helsinki Airport:
Edinburgh, Scotland
From April to the end of October, Finnair will fly to Edinburgh three times a week. Edinburgh is known for its medieval Old Town, and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, organised each August, draws visitors worldwide.
Billund, Denmark
Billund in Denmark will become a year-round flight destination from April 2016 onwards. Billund is the home of the LEGOLAND theme park, which is a popular holiday destination. Billund Airport is the second largest airport in Denmark and serves an important business market in Jutland.
Svalbard, Norway
Finnair will be the first airline to offer scheduled international services to Svalbard, the Norwegian archipelago in the Arctic Ocean. From June to August, there will be three weekly flights from Helsinki to Svalbard. Svalbard’s trump cards are untouched arctic wilderness and the rugged mountain and glacier scenery.
Pula, Croatia
Finnair will start flying a new route to Croatia with two weekly flights between Helsinki and Pula in the high summer. Pula is situated at the southern tip of the Istrian peninsula, overlooking the Adriatic. Pula’s well preserved Roman amphitheatre is one of the most famous sights in the whole of Croatia.
Dubrovnik and Split, Croatia
Finnair will also continue flying to Dubrovnik and Split, offering a total of 14 weekly flights to the Croatian holiday destinations in the summer 2016.
Greek islands
In addition, Finnair will offer a weekly flight to the popular Greek islands: Zakynthos, Skiathos, Santorini, Mytilene and Preveza were previously chartered flight destinations but will become scheduled flight destinations in the summer 2016.
Italy and Bulgaria
Finnair will also offer direct flights once a week to Rimini and Verona in Italy as well as to Varna in Bulgaria.
New flights from Oulu
From late June to early August, Finnair will fly once a week from Oulu to Chania in Crete and Alanya in Turkey in cooperation with Aurinkomatkat – Suntours.
