Finavia welcomes skiing enthusiasts at the airport and to enjoy international top level sports in a wintry setting.
Ski World Cup competition and the launch of the skiing season will take place at Ruka on 28–30 November. Approximately 600 athletes and large audience are expected to attend.
On 22 November, Ruka was named the best Finnish Ski Centre in the World Ski Awards for the second year running. Rantasipi Ruka was named the Best Ski Hotel and Rukan Salonki was named the Best Ski Chalet for the second time.
The success is based on long-term development work and cooperation among the operators in the region.
