The new BOSS Store at Helsinki Airport offers passengers an impressive range of elegant menswear.

For many, the name ‘Hugo Boss’ conjures up images of men in perfectly fitted stylish suits, yet these outlets offers much more. In addition to high-quality business and occasion wear and more casual clothing, the brand stands for shoes, underwear, socks, and accessories – for men, women, and children alike.

The trendy HUGO brand, launched in 1993, has been joined by BOSS Golf, BOSS Black, BOSS Selection, BOSS Orange, BOSS Green, BOSS Home, and BOSS Kidswear.

Helsinki Airport’s BOSS Store opened its doors in summer 2014. It specialises in menswear and carries a wide range of clothes and accessories. The store's multilingual personnel are happy to help find what you’re looking for.

From humble beginnings to the top of stylish menswear

For Hugo Boss, the long journey to success began in 1924, when Hugo Ferdinand Boss (1885–1948) founded a company in his hometown: Metzingen, Germany. His first steps in the clothing industry were at the lingerie and linen store he inherited from his parents.

In its early years, Hugo Boss made shirts and traditional Loden capes, also producing uniforms for German troops until the end of WWII.

After the war, the company saw rapid growth under the management of the founder's son-in-law, Eugen Holy. Its first orders for men's suits came in the ’50s, and in the ’60s it started making off‑the-peg suits for men.

When Holy's sons, Jochen and Uwe, took over, in 1969, Hugo Boss began growing into the international high-fashion luxury brand it is today.
