The rehearsal tests the functionality of the airport rescue plan, cooperation between authorities, first aid and logistics.
During the rehearsal emergency vehicles and helicopters are operate at the airport surroundings. Smoke may appear during the rehearsal. Thus, arriving to the airport may take more time than usual.
The rehearsal will not affect the departing and arriving flights at Tampere-Pirkkala.
Parties participating are Finavia, Pirkanmaa Rescue Department, The Finnish Defense Forces, Police of Finland, The Finnish Boarder Guard, Safety Investigation Authority, Tays First Aid Center, FinnHems, Finnish Red Cross, Airpro and Tamk.
