Janne Hattula has been appointed as the new CEO of Airpro, a subsidiary of Finavia. Hattula will start in his new role at the beginning of 2014. Hattula transfers to Airpro from Blue1, where he was the CEO.

Janne Hattula has more than ten years of experience in the aviation sector in various positions at SAS and Blue1. He has a solid background in the aviation sector and he is also very familiar with the operating methods of airline customers from the perspective of network airports.

For the new CEO, the main goal is to improve the profitability of Airpro.

"The services provided for airlines must be competitive and well-considered from the customer angle so that we can genuinely support the business of our customers and contribute to enabling air traffic at network airports. By providing cost-effective services for air traffic, we can improve the operating conditions for air traffic at airports of different sizes in Finland," says Hattula.

The former CEO, Ari Haapanen, has been on sick leave since 4 October 2013, and will not be returning to the post.

Airpro provides air traffic support services for traffic and tourism companies at 19 airports in Finland. The company's core services include ground forwarding, security control and cabin services. Airpro has about 1,100 employees in Finland.
