Finavia aims to develop the travelling experience by investing resources in good service, comfort and smooth travelling at its airports. The development of online services plays a key role in the improvement of passenger satisfaction. ”We want to make active use of the possibilities offered by technology to make travelling smoother during the customer's journey. We are proud to be pioneers in using technology, such as the wireless PowerKiss charging solution, which our airports were the first in the world to offer. The Helsinki Airport smartphone application offers a fast lane to online services and information for more convenient travelling, says Ville Haapasaari of Finavia, director of Helsinki Airport. Get up-to-date information on your mobile phone The Windows Phone application makes it easy to follow arrivals and departures at Helsinki Airport. You can mark an individual flight as a favourite to see its status on the front page of your application. The data on your own flight include information on the departure terminal and changes to the scheduled departure time. The application also has other services to make traveling more convenient. For example, the parking map shows driving instructions and parking prices. The application also provides information on services at the airport, such as car rental services, children's playrooms and pharmacies, as well as the only Starbucks coffee shops in Finland. The Helsinki Airport application in English can be downloaded free of charge from the Windows Phone store. The Helsinki Airport application has been previously released for the iOS operating system and it can also be downloaded to iPhones or iPads free of charge. To date, both the Windows Phone and the Android version have been downloaded more than 10,000 times, and the iPhone version tens of thousands of times.
