Demand for electric car charging spaces has grown at Helsinki Airport, so we have increased the number of charging stations in Finavia’s parking areas. Most of the parking spaces for electric cars are located in the new P1 Premium and P2 building, the third floor of which is reserved entirely for electric cars,” says Jukka Isomäki, Finavia’s Head of Parking and Landside Traffic.
Electric cars can be charged in all of Helsinki Airport’s parking halls.
“P1 Premium has about 100 charging stations at the front and back of the hall. P2 has about 150 charging stations and P3 has about 30. In addition, P5 has 70 charging stations,” Isomäki says.
“You can leave your car to charge for the duration of your trip. In this case, the charging will stop when the car’s battery is full. You can also charge your electric car while you wait to pick up a passenger or visit the airport,” Isomäki says.

Charging spaces at the airport are filled according to demand. However, we recommend you to book parking in advance in the parking area of your choice. Charging is priced according to energy consumption, EUR 0.20 per kWh.
