The plan is to perform the renovation in three stages so that the runway would be closed in July.
Finavia will communicate more information about the exact renovation schedule and its impact on air traffic as soon as the plans have been specified.
Finavia completed similar major renovations in Kittilä, Ivalo and Rovaniemi in the past two summers.
