Finavia's Annual Report 2014 published

“Air traffic is a much-discussed issue in society. Finavia's Annual Report offers our stakeholders easily digestible information about the operations of airports and air navigation, and the international logic of the entire industry. I believe that our Annual Report contains information which may move the debate about air traffic forward in Finland. The industry is global, and therefore it is important that we sufficiently understand the demands of international competition when we attempt to increase air traffic in Finland,” says Finavia's Communications Director Mikko Saariaho of Finavia.

Finavia's Annual Report follows the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines. The company has been issuing reports according to the guidelines since 2012, and in 2014, the report is at the G4 ‘Core’ level. Additionally, the reporting uses indicators in the Airport Operators Sector Supplement (AOSS).

Finavia has been developing its corporate responsibility reporting in a determined manner for several years now.  In 2013, Finavia's responsibility report won the public sector category in the awards for responsibility reporting organised by the Corporate Responsibility Network FIBS. According to the jury, Finavia reporting, about issues such as the environmental impacts of airports and the measures taken to reduce these impacts, was excellent.
