Runway maintenance at Rovaniemi Airport in April – no impact on passenger traffic

Routine maintenance of the Rovaniemi Airport runway will take place in April 2024. The frost damage and repair work won’t affect passenger traffic. Winter conditions in Northern Europe cause frost damage to runways and they are repaired as part of regular annual maintenance.

This year´s maintenance work is planned for early April and it is expected to last approximately two weeks. The progress of the repair work is dependent on weather. Extremely cold weather will cause delays.
