At Rovaniemi Airport, the busiest travel days will be the Saturdays and Sundays of 14–15 December, 21–22 December and 28–29 December. At Kittilä Airport, passenger numbers will be the largest on Saturday, 15 December, Saturday and Sunday, 21–22 December, Thursday, 26 December, and Saturday and Sunday, 28–29 December.
In general, weekends will be the busiest travel times at all Lapland airports until the end of March, with a large number of international scheduled and charter flights arriving at the airports.

Christmas is a busy time at Kittilä, Ivalo, Rovaniemi and Kuusamo airports. Especially at weekends, there will be a lot of departures and arrivals from Europe and the rest of the world at the airports. A record-breaking 24 new routes will be launched at Lapland airports this year.
